A sealing trial is not a pass or fail. It is a measurement. The record is what lets the sample become a specification — and what lets a failure be diagnosed instead of argued about.
The record.
- The bottle and cap: material, neck finish, cap type and lot.
- The liner: family, structure, batch and dimensions.
- The machine and settings: model, power, conveyor speed, head gap and torque.
- The product: what was in the bottle, and its temperature.
- The result: seal, leak, appearance, opening force and anything that changed.
- The storage: time, temperature and the condition after storage.
- The evidence: photos of the bottle, the cap and the seal; who approved the result.
Why it matters.
If the trial succeeds, the record is the first draft of the specification. If it fails, the record says which variable to change next. Without it, the only available next step is another sample — and another opinion.
Send the record with the follow-up. It is more useful than a description of the result.
