These three are often compared as if they were interchangeable. They are not. Each solves a different problem.

The comparison.

Method What it does Best for What it does not do
Induction foil Heat bonds a foil to the neck Tamper evidence and a barrier It needs an induction sealer and a foil-compatible bottle
Pressure-sensitive Cap torque activates the seal Lines without induction, small runs It is not a foil barrier; the adhesive must suit the contents
Vented Lets gas or pressure equalise Products that build pressure It is not a universal leak-proof seal

How to choose.

Start with the contents and the line. If the product builds pressure, a vented structure is a candidate. If the line has no induction, pressure-sensitive is a candidate. If the buyer needs tamper evidence and a barrier, induction is a candidate — and then the bottle and the cap have to allow it.

In every case, the candidate is confirmed by a sample and a trial. The table is a map, not a decision.
